ESCAPES
We had the honor of collaborating with Nine Dot Arts on a mural concept for the renovation of the historic station’s Great Hall. The mural series at Union Station features six unique "Escapes" representing a small selection of the many diverse landscapes found throughout Colorado. Each frame is a window to a path leading the viewer into the natural world. The theme of the artwork pays tribute to classical western murals that can be found in some of Denver’s most historic buildings. Painted in pastels, earth tones and bold colors, the contemporary style reflects the modern and thriving creative culture in Denver. We hope that these pieces transport onlookers through downtown Denver into the idyllic sprawl of the West.
